About Me:

ENGINEERING LIBRARY AND RESOURCE PORTAL Helping you design robust design solutions!

Me on the flight deck of a C-5 Galaxy Heavy Lift Transport at Dover AFB! A very interesting day!

About me:

I have worked in the design and engineering field for 25 plus years developing extensive experience working closely with manufacturing, quality control and systems, electrical, mechanical and software engineers in support of DOD projects involving space and aerospace-based applications, tooling, test fixtures, machine parts and assemblies, pneumatic, hydraulics, electro-mechanical packaging, vehicle, automation and systems integration.

Using digital prototype modeling applications featuring top-down skeleton modeling techniques, tabled geometry and assembly systems, some finite, and dynamics analysis, drafting and detailing with GD&T.

I have worked with such companies as Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics Robotics Systems, Smiths Detection, Able Lift systems, Ensco Rail, Chemring, United States Bullet Proofing, CTI, ARINC and Weber State University CAST / OSSS with experience involving manufacturing and fabrication processes using manual lathe and end-mill fabrication of flight article parts and assemblies, inspection, testing and facilities construction, in support of DOD and space based structural components wherein I cut my own parts and fixtures, inspected them, assembled and supported testing and integration of completed projects. I have also worked in support of computer systems networking, design, development and management of database design and development, on-line data management, IT support assistance, HTML, XML, LSL and visual basic.

About my site:

Delta Design and Engineering Solutions is my pencil sharpening box.

Delta DES and the logo have actually been something I have been working on in one way or another since high school. I came up with the triangle logo after getting a notebook for high school.

Delta DES serves as an engineering library featuring links, training and content in support of general engineering needs as well as a place for me to refine my skills, showcase projects that I have worked on for various companies where not bound by confidentiality which is most everywhere.

Provided to and interact with the Autodesk Inventor and CAD community via the "I-Resource" library featuring content models, materials, templates, standards, and more.

Promote the use of the Origin Axis Methodology (OAM) promoting consistency in modeling practices and the DELTA CAD standards providing "company X, who wants to build a widget" with standards for consistent CAD practices.

Created as a set of standards for the documentation of CAD designs, the Delta CAD standards are based on the ANSI Y 14 standards and the Drawing Requirements Manual 11th edition.

The standards are designed to be used as a template that is as generic as possible to provide a starting point from which a company may build upon to create company standards tailored to their specific needs and meet ISO 9000 standards.

Content featured in the projects section are the proprietary content of their respective publishers where specified and can be found at the links associated with each of the sites where they have been published in detail.
