Sensors and deployment mechanisms

Sensors:

Sensors are one of the primary reason for putting a satellite in space. The primary sensors on board the ACP consist of a Three Axis Magnatomator, Fine and Coarse Sun Sensors.

Deployment Mechanisms:

We used several deployment mechanisms on the JAWSat Mission but the coolest one I think was the use of memory metal (tape measures) as a simple antenna deployment system with a nylon retention system and paraffin actuator.

Simple, but effective.
